Working your way backš”
Recently, I was examining my fear of making people angry.
Recently, I was examining my fear of making people angry.
I already knew it stemmed from the fear I felt as a child when my father would get angry and frustrated with meā¦ or more regularly, service workers.
I always had to tiptoe around and do whatever I could to not make him get angry.
Thanks, pops, for this very annoying and crippling fear Iāve had to overcome!
This resulted in growing up to become a people pleaser.
Always trying to put a smile on peopleās faces.
Never trying to anger or upset them.
So when it comes to dating, this is quite an internal battle I face on a daily basis, particularly during the approach.
I sometimes fear approaching women because Iām afraid I might start the engagement off with animosity.
However, after further examination deep into the depths of my brain, I realizedā¦ š”
I can always work my way back from animosity.
The new, reframed belief is, āI can win her back over time.ā
Sometimes thatās even better, and sheāll find me more attractive because of it.
Mind blownš¤Æ
The thing that Iām most afraid of can actually work in my favor!
So now, I fearā¦ less.
The fearās not gone, but I know even if sheās put off by my approach, or if the engagement starts off on the wrong foot, if I can keep the engagement going, I know I can land a few good jokes that will turn the animosity into affection.
Iād love to hear about what fear youāre facing in your life. Maybe I can help you reframe it to make what youāre afraid of an advantage in your favor!
I hope this helps! If you have any more editing or formatting requests, feel free to let me know.
