What forklifts can teach us about leverage
It's all in the butt
It's often astonishing to me how a small forklift has the power and leverage to lift something twice its size.
It's all about leverage; the way the weight is placed low and towards the rear allows the forklift to lift massive amounts of weight with little effort.
It's similar to process.
Putting a massive load (work) into the front end of a system (low and towards the back) allows you to lift massive things easily later on down the road.
